Bolsover Little Castle, Derbyshire - illustrated reconstruction
(English Heritage Guidebooks)
Bolsover Little Castle is an exquisite miniature house or lodge built in 1612 on the site of an earlier medieval castle by Sir Charles Cavendish as a family retreat from his nearby principal seat at Welbeck. The lavishly decorated interiors featured fine paintings and wall-hangings with elaborate marble fireplaces and ornate ceilings.

English Heritage commissioned me to produce two cutaway reconstruction illustrations of Bolsover Castle; the Little Castle (c. 1630) and the Terrace Range  (c. 1670) for publication in a new visitor guidebook (ISBN 978 1 84802 111 2).
